PRESS RELEASE: Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, Inc. (CAC) announces new Executive Director.

March 30, 2020 | Samantha Wendt | Board President

The CAC Board of Directors is proud to announce that Amber Duddy will take over the Executive Director position, recently managed by Interim Director, David Vobora. Amber comes to us with a strong public community health background. Amber has a robust progressive work history comprised of non-profit and public sector positions. Most recently, Amber served as the Director of Community Health for a regional non-profit where she provided visionary leadership for the management of multiple public health workforce development grants. During this time, she also worked for the Michigan State University Systems exChange where she leveraged community systems change research and best practices to help local community agencies alter their healthcare systems to improve Medicaid outcomes, and reduce health disparities. Amber previously worked at UW Health as a Grants Development Program Coordinator, Department of Health Services as an Adolescent Health Consultant and Planned Parenthood as a Community Outreach Educator. Amber earned a master’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Promotion and Public Policy from Western Michigan University. Amber is thrilled to combine her passion for community and resident voice, with practical skills and ideas to strengthen and improve community systems. More than anything, Amber is excited to work with the incredible staff, board, volunteers, and community members who are committed to ending poverty for all of south central Wisconsin.

Amber’s first official day is April 20.

David Vobora’s last day with CAC will be May 1. We thank David for his service and dedication to Community Action.
