3/15/2023 NOTICE: On May 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. the Dane CORE 2.0 Emergency Rental Assistance application portal will permanently close.
What does this mean?
Individuals and families have until May 31st at 11:59 p.m. to submit applications using the Dane CORE online portal for additional support and requests. Applications will continue to be processed after May 31 in the order they are received, until program funds are depleted. If you have already applied, your application will be processed in the order it was received and you should not apply again.
We encourage anyone requiring financial support through the Dane CORE program to apply as soon as possible. Although this program will close, Dane County and the City of Madison will continue funding other Support & Stability programs. Similarly, CAC will continue to provide housing programs as we believe all people deserve a place to call home.
To apply for Dane CORE, check the status of an application or for more information, visit www.danecore.org.

Housing Security
We start here because all people deserve a place to call home.
Our case managers can help find stable and reliable shelter for people without homes and those facing threats to their housing. We help low-income families and individuals get back on their feet and access a higher quality of life.
Working within the rental housing market, we aim to solve your housing needs. While we don’t own rental property or have programs for home ownership, we’re sensitive to the specific needs of individuals and families. We work hard to provide you with the right housing assistance.
Our housing programs vary by county.
