About This Program
Since 1992, the Gleaners program (originally known as Wisconsin Harvest) has safely recovered perfectly good food from grocers, restaurants, bakeries, and caterers that would have otherwise gone to waste in landfills.
Through a network of 45 dedicated volunteers and 64 donors, CAC Gleaners collect and distribute approximately 800,000 pounds of food per year to shelters, community centers, food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, and low-income apartment complexes.
The Gleaners currently operate in Dane County. To learn more about CAC Gleaners, contact Lindsey Karl, Community Programs Manager, at email@example.com.
