A Trip Through Sun Prairie: A Farmer’s Market Tour
Six to eight weeks after local legend, Jimmy the Groundhog sees the Sun… on the prairie, the Sun Prairie Farmers’ Market opens! Offering a trek through the amazing items south-central Wisconsin’s artisan vendors, local producers, and farmers have to offer every Saturday from May through October. Starting at 7:00 a.m., join local vendors in the heart of Sun Prairie at the Cannery Square and Market St.

Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival
The 71st Annual Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival, one of the Midwest’s top food festivals, takes place from August 14-18, 2024, at Angell Park in Sun Prairie, WI. This five-day event is a summer highlight, featuring 80 tons of Wisconsin-grown sweet corn served with butter and salt. The festival kicks off with a parade on Wednesday, August 14th, at 6 PM and features lots of live music, a Cornhole tournament, and a variety of family-friendly activities.
Located at the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway N, Angell Park provides convenient onsite parking for attendees. The festival is a perfect opportunity to enjoy local food, participate in community events, and celebrate the season with friends and family. Don’t miss this iconic celebration of all things corn!
