Emergency Assistance

We offer a variety of Emergency Assistance services:

  • Clothing Center:  Our Clothing Center serves over 9,000 low-income individuals and families each year. We provide seasonally appropriate clothing for school, work, home, as well as job interviews. Many of our families are living pay-check to pay-check and the Clothing Center allows them to stretch their budgets just a little further. All of the clothing is provided through generous donations from the community and our volunteers help us to sort and hang all of the items for our shoppers. If you want to donate clothing, please do so between 9:00am-4:00pm Monday through Thursday or contact CAC to make other arrangements.

Clothing Center Hours are:
Tuesday - Thursday 10am to 3pm

  • Koats for Kids: We collect and distribute winter coats to children and adults experiencing poverty. Coats are donated by the public, cleaned by Klinke Cleaners and distributed by CAC during October. For more information on this event contact CAC at 608-246-4730 or

  • Emergency Shelter: Call 211 for information on shelters.
