The Clothing Center serves over 9,000 low-income individuals and families each year. We provide seasonally appropriate clothing for school, work, home, as well as job interviews. Many of the families are living pay-check to pay-check and the Clothing Center allows them to stretch their budgets just a little further. The clothing is provided through generous donations from the community, and volunteers help sort and hang clothing items for participant shoppers.
Clothing donations can be dropped off between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
The Clothing Center will be closed Oct. 9-11th & Nov. 13-15th for Koats for Kids preparations. Scroll down for more information!
CAC’s free clothing center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Participants can shop once a month and receive one bag of clothes per person in the household. First time shoppers will need to provide an ID for every person in the household. IDs from outside Wisconsin and the US are accepted. Valid IDs include:
- Driver’s Licence
- State ID
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- School ID
- Forward Card
- Insurance Card
CAC’s Koats for Kids drive is in it’s 33rd year of providing coats and winter items to kids and adults! With support from Klinke Cleaners, Channel 3000, and Magic 98, CAC is able to distribute almost 3,000 coats to those in need during our distribution. CAC’s winter-gear giveaway runs every year through the month of October with extended shopping hours. Regular clothing center participants are already registered to receive one coat per person in the household. New participants must bring ID for each person in their household. See above for valid IDs. Want to help out? Sign up to volunteer here!
